When I overheard the guide near the \u003cspan\u003epink flamingos' lake \u003c\/span\u003enarrating the tale of the legend of the phoenix, I was instantly riveted. On the shores of the salt and soda pink lake Natron in Tanzania, pink flamingos live in isolation due to harsh environmental conditions only they can bare. The legend says that every time the volcano erupts, flamingos get completely wiped out of the shores.
